Workforce Development

SHORE and Whariki researchers run evaluation research training workshops and short courses for new and less experienced health promotion practitioners and those wanting to refresh their skills in evaluation.

SHORE has also been contracted by the Ministry of Health to provide training to the national alcohol workforce. Evidence based strategies and implementation frameworks are part of the training structure.

Internationally SHORE has been involved in the establishment of the Asia Pacific Policy Alliance (APAPA). APAPA is a network of NGOs committed to the development effective alcohol policy in the Asia Pacific region. The mission of APAPA is to reduce alcohol-related harm worldwide by promoting science-based policies independent of commercial interests
