Meta Analysis of Community Action Research Projects

The meta analysis of community action projects provides insights into the lessons learnt from ten very different community action projects funded by a range of government agencies in New Zealand, identifying barriers and enhancers to change.

Findings are reported in two volumes which will inform agencies that fund community action/community action research as well as people who work in community projects, plus researchers and evaluators, about the practices, activities, structures and relationships that enable or inhibit people when they undertake community action/community action research projects.

The reports are available below in final draft form pending final sign-off by the Ministry of Health

A Meta Analysis of Community Action Projects - Volume I
A Meta Analysis of Community Action Projects - Volume II

Researchers: Alison Greenaway, Dr Sharon Milne, Lanuola Asiasiga, Wendy Henwood and Karen Witten

Project funded by the Cross Departmental Contestable Fund through the Ministry of Health
