Evaluation of the Stronger Community Action Fund Projects (CYF Funded)

Stronger Community Action Fund (SCAF) projects are locality based community development projects in high deprivation areas. They are pilot projects in the devolution of government funding to communities. Their primary aim is to enhance the wellbeing of children and families living in the locality. Local SCAF committees have the task of engaging with community members and organisations to develop and implement action plans to meet the broad project aim tailored to the specific community’s needs. SCAF committees also have responsibility for developing funding schemes for local initiatives. SHORE evaluated SCAF sites in Hokianga, Mangakino and Ranui.
