Completed
Projects
Evaluation
of Intersectoral Initiatives for Health
Two
locality based community development projects in Ranui and
Kaihoke were funded by the Ministry of Health with the broad
aim of tackling the wider determinants of health. The projects
involved multiple stakeholders from centralgovernment agencies
(eg housing, health, welfare, education, police) along with
localgovernment and community organisations. SHORE undertook
formative and process evaluation.
The
evaluation in Ranui also included a baseline CATI/CACI social
cohesion survey completed in 2001 and repeated in 2004 to
evaluate community change over the first three years of the
project.
SHORE
researchers involved in the evaluations: Kim Conway, Jeff Adams,
Wendy Henwood, Karen Witten
