Formative Evaluation of the Northcote Child and Youth Development Project

The Northcote Child and Youth Development project was a three year demonstration project and part of the Auckland Sustainable Cities Programme. The Northcote project aims to ensure children and young people grow up safe a healthy in a thriving community and to find ways of increasing youth participation in decisions that affect them and the wider community.

SHORE and Whariki provided formative evaluation for this project from May 2005 to October 2006. This research included interviews with key informants, assistance with a photovoice research initiative, a literature review and feedback on programme logic and planning.
