Evaluation of Community Renewal Projects for Housing New Zealand Corporation

Kia ora koutou,

Welcome to the SHORE/Whariki Community Renewal Resource site.

Te Ropu Whariki and The Centre for Social and Health Outcomes Research and Evaluation (SHORE) are two research groups that work in a process of partnership at Massey University. The relationship between SHORE and Whariki reflects a commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi as the framework for achieving social and health goals in Aotearoa/New Zealand. This partnership enables collaboration between Maori and non-Maori research teams within the Centre.

SHORE/Whariki were commissioned by Housing New Zealand Corporation (HNZC) to evaluate their community renewal (CR) projects. HNZC has initiated five CR housing projects to address social exclusion and foster strong, sustainable communities.

We built an annotated bibliography of references/books/articles etc that may be relevant to Community Renewal.

Community Renewal - Annotated Bibliography

SHORE/Whariki developed this resource to provide access to relevant literature to all of those involved in CR at the Aranui, Clendon, Talbot Park, Fordlands and Porirua sites.

When ordering publications contact Sandy Kerr giving the Record Number/s for publication/s you would like to order.

As you will see, some of the references do not include abstracts or notes. These are resources that have not been read by us, but which sound promising or have been recommended by others and which we will endeavour to acquire copies of if anyone requests them.
