Connecting Policy Research and Practice - the Social Policy Research and Evaluation Conference, Wellington Convention Centre, 29-30 April 2003

The Social Policy Research and Evaluation Conference 2003 has been organised by the Ministry of Social Development.  The aim of the conference is to improve the linkages between government policy advisors, social service providers and social policy researchers and evaluators.

Professor Sally Casswell is an invited keynote speaker and Karen Witten, Jeff Adams, Belinda Borell, Kim Conway and Paul Duignan are also presenting papers under the following themes:

1. Theme: Developing human capabilities - knowledge and skills
Title: Building Evaluation Capacity - the Key to Translating Social Policy Research and Theory into Practice

2. Theme: Social Connectedness Knowledge
